LOL @ Free RomComs, but I think Hugh Grant should be paying his audience. :) I do hope the next generation sees more control in the hands of the developers and publishers for pricing schemes, but at the same time, I would like to see some judicial tools available for content creators to assist in [...]

I am not trying to stand here and say I never used any pirated software in my day, but at least back then much of it was hush hush and underground. You had to dial into someone else’s computer with yours with a phone. Sometimes you knew a kid in the neighborhood with a C64 [...]

Physical products are produced not only with raw materials but there is a human factor involved that you are completely omitting from this discussion. That is why Piracy is bad because it affects someone like you that wants to make money with their talents, be that a women’s product factory operator, Wallmart Owner or a [...]

“Again, it’s not the same as plagiarism. Nobody who pirates a game is then claiming that they made the game and passing it off as their own work. It’s a completely different thing.” Its by no means a completely different thing, although the nuance you mention is noted. Still doesn’t provide any validity to the [...]

Every piece of content be it digital, broadcast or print always has some sort of caveat warning the user that this property doesn’t belong to them they are allowed personal use. That does not include the ability to reproduce the content. When you make a copy of someone else’s work you are in effect becoming [...]

Yet another article trying to espouse the virtues of Freetardism. “That’s because a big part of the argument about piracy is whether the alternative is fair. For me, paying what is one day’s labour in the fleece mines (we mine for wool in Australia in what are charmingly known as the ‘killer spider caves’) falls [...]

  • darthdiggler commented on the blog post Angry Birds dev: We’ll be as big as Disney   5 months, 1 week ago · View

You know great Angry Birds is a success, but what value would he have to offer stock holders? What is the follow-up? This comparison to Disney is asinine, they have a huge stable of very successful intellectual properties that the shareholders can find tons of value in.

I have heard that the sound in MW3 is terrible. Also the COD series hasn’t taken ANY risks since KillStreaks and Perks were introduced. Everything after COD4 has been the same ole same ole. So in terms of which game is the more next gen of the two BF3 wins in spades.

  • Well this guy is almost making it sound like a racial thing. That isn’t the case really and I am not sure he understands the history here. There has always been a distinctly eastern game development style and distinctly western. Its why Final Fantasy looks nothing like Dragon Age Origins. East uses more art west [...]

  • Sitcoms are free of charge, don’t charge subscription that will divide it’s audience.

Hasn’t COD kind of “Jumped the Shark” already?

Well if you remember correctly the trailer was leaked by PlayStation LifeStyle this was in MAY 2009. http://playstationlifestyle.net/2009/05/19/team-ico-next-game-revealed/

So they are kind of outside the PR exposure they planned for this title. Who knows what form the game was in when the trailer was made.

I call BOGUS. The team has emphatically stated they haven’t done a re-write of the code. There has been little to no technology changes in the series. Activision obviously doesn’t pay people to write engines this generation. If there is no Quake 3 code left, why does it look like every other Quake 3ish looking [...]
