Ah, Dead Space 3. I personally didn’t like you very much. Sean Cargle, who reviewed you for BeefJack, liked you more than I did, but he wasn’t exactly shouting from the rooftops about the glorious feelings you filled his feeling-hole up with. He, in fact, wouldn’t even recommend people pay full price for you. The most positive voice we’ve got for you at BeefJack comes from James Haresign, but he’s faced with my most intimidating bludgeon of negativity every time he opens his mouth.
That being said, it’s a game worth playing (I’m going to stop addressing the game directly now, probably far too long after it became wearisome), if only so you can make up your own mind about the third entry into Visceral’s used-to-be-horror-then-it-was-action-horror-now-it’s-just-action trilogy, that was so very stellar in its first two entries.
Therefore, instead of telling you what to think, we’re giving one of you lucky so-and-sos the chance to dislike it possibly love it for yourselves. If you’re still on the fence even when it’s free, the official Dead Space site might have something that’ll convince you to make the leap.
